Titanium dioxide (TiO₂) is a critical raw material in coatings, plastics, and laminate products. Ti-Pure™ TiO₂ innovation has driven progress globally for our customers within these industries for nearly a century. We are consistently working to deliver sustainability through waste reduction, by lowering our product carbon footprint, and by partnering with our customers, our suppliers, and other organizations that can help us provide a better future for generations to come.
We have several work groups that focus on our absolute greenhouse gas reduction emissions. Our teams are working on ways to reduce overall energy consumption at the plant level, sourcing renewable electricity, and electrifying processes to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and steam.
We have over 40 projects in the pipeline contributing to product carbon footprint reduction. In 2023, we experienced a 4.6% energy reduction at all of our production sites versus our 2021 baseline.

Within Our Gates & Communities
We are committed to responsible manufacturing and continually searching for ways to increase uptime, capacity, and community support, while reducing our environmental impact. We’re striving to reduce site energy intensity by at least 20% (vs. 2018 baseline), implement waste reduction technologies across all sites, and invest a minimum of $5 million in our communities by 2030.
With our Customers
We strive to be our customers’ thought partner and innovation resource. All of our new product offerings will include a sustainability value proposition, specifically efficiency, durability, and/or safety. We are also working to reduce the carbon footprint of our current product offerings. We currently have over 40 projects in the pipeline to help reduce our product carbon footprint.
